That side of it won't always be easy to navigate. Sometimes you can get down on what you presently have (or even long for times that have passed you by), but you can't let that keep you down for long. The power of the current chart is in the future and what you set out to do with it, so make that your focus and do what you can to optimize it. This is a tricky spot for you in terms of materials and finances because you have to find the right balance between "smart, sensible" risks and ones that are reckless by default.
